Workforce analytics for South African HR teams
The people numbers everyone can agree on.
Paylytics reads the employee data already sitting in your payroll system and turns it into workforce analytics — headcount, employment equity, turnover, tenure and leave. Refreshed every night, with one definition of every metric applied to every view.
No spreadsheet exports, no re-keying, no BI licence. Connects to PaySpace (Deel Local Payroll) today, with further payroll and HR sources planned.
What it measures
Every view reads the same tenant settings — your financial-year end and your exclusion rules — so two reports never disagree about who counts.
Headcount & growth
Growth curve, joiners and leavers, by financial year or any window you pick.
Demographics & employment equity
Race × gender by occupational level, the EEA2 workforce profile, and representation trends over time.
Turnover
Overall rate, voluntary and involuntary splits, termination reasons, and early attrition under one year.
Tenure
Average tenure across the business and at exit, by department, gender and financial year.
Leave & absenteeism
Annual and sick balances, usage trends, and approved unpaid days by department.
Names shown · export admin-onlyRemuneration
Basic-salary spread by gender and grade, and salary cost by department and occupational level.
Access-restrictedHow it works
Set up once. After that it keeps itself current.
Connect your payroll
An admin picks the provider and enters its API credentials once. They are encrypted before they are stored, and a Test connection button checks them against the live API — so you find out they are wrong then, not at 2am. PaySpace — now Deel Local Payroll — is the provider available today.
Sync every night
Paylytics pulls only the fields the analytics need, then derives a month-end snapshot per employee — so history stays stable instead of being recomputed.
Read, filter, export
Slice by occupational level, department, job title, generation or as-of month. Export any page — or the whole set — as one PDF that honours the filters you are looking at.
Built for data this sensitive
Employment-equity demographics, salaries and sick leave are among the most sensitive records an employer holds. Handling them carefully is a design constraint here, not a policy page.
-
Only what the analytics need
No ID, tax or bank numbers. No email addresses, phone numbers or next of kin. Birth year rather than date of birth, and no payslip line detail.
-
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Employee data is encrypted on the way in and where it is stored.
-
Every restricted view is logged
Access to pay, named health data and exports is recorded with who, when and from where — including anything done by Paylytics staff, and visible to your admins.
See it against your own numbers
Paylytics is invite-only while we onboard the first organisations. Tell us who you are and what you run payroll on, and we will take it from there — including if that is something we do not connect to yet, which is how we decide what to support next.
